I’m genuinely humbled to share that I’ve been named a finalist in not one, but two categories at the 2026 Women in Finance Awards: Thought Leader of the Year and Mentor of the Year.
Being recognised in either category would mean a great deal. Being recognised in both feels like something else entirely, because these two things have always sat at the heart of why I do this work.
Thought leadership, to me, has never been about having all the answers. It’s about being willing to ask better questions, challenge outdated thinking, and share what I’ve learned so other women don’t have to figure it out the hard way. Mentorship is the other half of that same coin. It’s showing up for people, consistently, long after the initial conversation ends.
When I look at the calibre of women on this finalist list, I feel genuinely humbled. These are women building extraordinary businesses, leading teams, shaping the future of finance in this country. To stand among them is an honour in itself, regardless of what happens on the night.
If there’s one thing this recognition reminds me of, it’s that the work of lifting others up is never wasted. Every broker I’ve mentored, every client I’ve guided through a strategy conversation, every woman who’s messaged me to say something I said or wrote made a difference, that’s the real reward. The finalist announcement is simply a lovely reminder that it’s being noticed too.
