On Monday we celebrated International Daughter’s Day. I don’t really know what these types of days are supposed to signify or how they should be celebrated other than posting photos of you with your daughter on your socials.

But I don’t have a daughter. I do have 4 gorgeous sons who fill me with love, laughter and eye rolls daily, but no daughters. So no photos to post!

But I am a daughter and I can’t imagine how my life would be without having had the love and influence of these two incredible people who I’m fortunate enough to have as my parents.

From my mum and dad I have learnt the most valuable and valued life lessons. They’ve shaped me to be the woman that I am today. The woman, the mother, the business owner, the friend and the sister. And for all these things, I’m incredibly grateful.

So to celebrate International Daughter’s Day, I’d like to say thanks to my parents. Thanks for having me, thanks for shaping me, thanks for loving me despite all the challenges I threw your way.

My love and gratitude holds no bounds.
