Do you have spaces in your home that make you feel immediately relaxed? Or energised and ready to get to work or exercise?
It’s important to create a home that supports our intention, personality and lifestyle. A bedroom and bathroom that are relaxing. An office that is inspiring. A kitchen that motivates you to cook healthy meals. A dining area that’s comfortable to sit around to share a meal with your family or friends or in peaceful solitude. A living area that supports your lifestyle. A space where you can relax and recharge or host a fabulous party with friends.
Could you do with a second living space to create some room between siblings or to have a space for you and your partner to relax without being invaded by kids?
I’ve driven past homes recently that have a full child-sized version of something that you would see on Survivor or Ninja Warrior and I love it. I I love it even more when I see the parents out the front supporting their kids playing on it.
It also makes me hope that the parents put as much thought and effort into creating spaces for them to have fun in – because we often forget that it’s not all about the kids!
Could your home be doing more to promote your wellness? I encourage you to take a look at your home and each room with fresh eyes. Is it delivering what it needs? What could you add or remove to make it support your intention and lifestyle?
